It was time to step it up!

Tuesday

Fitness with Vandie

First walk with Kevin

Then “face” the step class

Would I be okay – sore arm, sore tendons, no sleep last night…

Maybe I shouldn’t go.

After all, it’s only been five weeks since chemo and that antibiotic sent me for a loop!

The doctor did say take it easy as I could “break” my tendons.

Coffee and smoothie

Just do it!!  Even if you have to stand there and watch – just do it, Stacey!

On time – shoes on – music starts

Gotta watch my arm, swollen from the vaccine yesterday

Gotta watch my tendons – damaged by the antibiotic

Don’t faint.  Go slow.  Don’t trip.  Keep up.  Water – don’t forget!

Stiff, getting better

And better

Feels great! Even my arm!

“Last set on the step”

Put one riser in – see if you can do it?

Be careful – looking good – feeling good!

Wow – I’m doing it!

Amazing

DONE!

It was indeed, time to step it up!

About inmycorner

This blog began as an opportunity to tell my Dad's stories. I sat with him and the computer and together we told stories. It was a wonderful way to get to know Dad. He was 9. He and Mom had a wonderful life together and since she passed away a year and a half before him - Dad was ready to join her. I no longer tell his stories but have found stories of my own. The impetus to resume this blog was the discovery that I had stage 4 ovarian cancer. Since blogging had been so therapeutic for my dad and I to get through our grief, I felt maybe this would be a good outlet to process my situation. I also hoped it may serve as an outreach to anyone else who is facing this very ominous journey. So far, so good.
