Walk? No walk? Knees feel better. So far so good.

Through the wetland and onto Tiffin Street.
Wind is at our back. Feels good. I am alive.

Home stretch. Stick? Nope. I grab and break an old branch from a pine tree. Stick? Check!
Jazz runs. She is happy. I am happy. Kevin and I smile. Throw and repeat.
Pause. Hug. Breathe. Count my blessings? Check!
It’s quiet when we come into the house. No hurry, no scurry. Hang coats, put away mitts.
